ENEA and the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGCS) of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding in May 2017, aimed at strengthening their mutual institutional relationship and valorizing the role Italy plays in defining and implementing the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals.

ENEA collaborates with DGCS in defining Italian stands and proposals in its specific fields of competence, energy, the environment and sustainable economic development. The Agency actually participates in national and international inter-institutional and sectoral roundtables, events and meetings. ENEA can also draw up documents, undertake initiatives and implement projects with DGCS.
